Equipment:

  • Solid water
  • White tile
  • Toothpick
  • Brown oil paint
  • Mini grater
  • Pre- baked yellow, brown, champagne and ochre clays
  • Black no hole beads
  • Glass jar and lid

Method:

  1. Prepare the solid water according to the instructions 2:1 resin to hardener in container provided. Mix thoroughly. Allow to stand for bubbles to disperse.

  1. Mix in a small amount of brown (burnt Sienna) oil paint. Start with a ball about 3mm in diameter and add more until you achieve the correct colour. Again allow the mixture to stand to allow bubbles to burst.

  1. Once the mixture is ready grate pre-baked clays.

  1. Add the black no hole beads and stir in the grated pre-baked clays. Allow to stand.

  1. Decant mixture into glass jar and wait for the resin to set. To avoid the mixture settling at the bottom of the jar put a lid on the jar and keep turning the jar upside down until the beads and solid clays no longer move.
