Dollhouse Miniature Food Tutorial - To Make a Jar of Mincemeat |
Equipment:
- Solid water
- White tile
- Toothpick
- Brown oil paint
- Mini grater
- Pre- baked yellow, brown, champagne and ochre clays
- Black no hole beads
- Glass jar and lid
Method:
- Prepare the solid water according to the instructions 2:1 resin to hardener in container provided. Mix thoroughly. Allow to stand for bubbles to disperse.
- Mix in a small amount of brown (burnt Sienna) oil paint. Start with a ball about 3mm in diameter and add more until you achieve the correct colour. Again allow the mixture to stand to allow bubbles to burst.
- Once the mixture is ready grate pre-baked clays.
- Add the black no hole beads and stir in the grated pre-baked clays. Allow to stand.
- Decant mixture into glass jar and wait for the resin to set. To avoid the mixture settling at the bottom of the jar put a lid on the jar and keep turning the jar upside down until the beads and solid clays no longer move.
